Hey there, folks! We’ve got some news for you about Bob’s Trailer Court and RV Park on Marion Rd in Rochester, Minnesota. Brace yourselves, because it’s not the best news. Neighbors were pretty bummed when they saw the fences come down on July 28, only to find out that there won’t be any progress on the planned affordable housing project. Instead, the site will be put back on the market. Bummer, right?

Carl Kane, who lives just a block away from the trailer park, shared his thoughts on the matter. He said, “I wish they’d clean it up, take away the trailers. I see they took the fence down. I thought they were getting ready to take the trailers out because it’s an eyesore.” And you know what? He’s got a point. It’s not just about the sale, but also about the lack of effort in cleaning up the site since it closed back in May 2023.

So, what’s the city of Rochester doing about this? Well, according to the Department of Community Development, they’re keeping a close eye on the site now that the fence is down. They’re checking for any code violations and staying in regular communication with the property owner. At least they’re on it!

So, what do you think about this situation? Should the city take more action to clean up the site? Share your thoughts with us!
